The Art of Reweaving is a family owned business with Vahan as the Master Reweaver.
Vahan has been written up in many acclaimed magazines and newspapers about his excellent workmanship. This gave him recognition from other states and built his customer base by allowing him to do business not just through the shop but also through mail. Customers from all around the world send him their garments that require repair, he examines the items and provides an estimate then either moves forward with the job or returns the item back to the customer.
He initially learned this craft in his homeland at a very young age taught through generations of family members in this trade. When Vahan and his wife, Alice immigrated to California in 1979 they bought their first business, The Velvet Hanger Tailoring & Reweaving in Newport Beach. Since 1979, their business grew throughout all of Orange County and Beyond.
In 2013, They decided to sell the shop but continue to work solely on the Reweaving Business at their new location. Now Vahan’s business is known as “The Art of Reweaving” because what Vahan does is truly a piece of Art!
